Network Architect (Azure)

Cognizant is seeking a Network Architect for a full-time opportunity. This is a remote opportunity. Applicants must be located in the US and must have valid work authorization.

The salary range for this role is between $137,000 and $161,000 depending on the skills and qualifications of the candidate. Applications will be accepted till 11/21/2025.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, reliable, and secure network architectures to support business operations and growth.
• Evaluate current network systems and recommend improvements to enhance performance, security, and efficiency.
• Lead network infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
• Develop and maintain documentation for network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement best practices for network security, including firewalls (Palo Alto), VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
• Assess and select network hardware and software, ensuring compatibility with existing systems.
• Provide technical guidance and support to network engineers and IT staff.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal reliability.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in networking, recommending adoption where appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  
  

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of cloud networking concepts and the ability to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and reliable network solutions within Microsoft Azure.
• This includes expertise in virtual networks, network security (such as firewalls and network security groups), hybrid connectivity (like VPN and ExpressRoute), load balancing, DNS, and monitoring network resources in the Azure environment.
