Role Summary
The MES Werum PAS‑X Administrator is responsible for system administration, configuration, technical support, and troubleshooting of PAS‑X applications in regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environments. The role focuses on execution, support, and maintenance of approved MES configurations and does not include team lead or functional ownership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities (Admin / Technical Focus)
Perform system administration of Werum PAS‑X, including user management, access control, and environment support.
Configure and maintain PAS‑X components such as GMBRs, PVL, PMBRs, Equipment Management, Material Flow, Weigh & Dispense, EBR/MBR, and Master Data.
Implement approved State Diagrams and configuration changes based on functional specifications.
Execute PAS‑X configuration, customization, installation, upgrades, and deployments across production and non‑production environments.
Support SAP–MES interfaces, L2 integrations, and report execution/troubleshooting.
Work on PAS‑X Specification, Execution, Compliance, and Performance modules from an implementation and support perspective.
Perform Master Data updates, configuration changes, and technical impact assessments.
Provide L1/L2/L3 application support, including incident resolution and root‑cause analysis.
Troubleshoot PAS‑X issues in validated GxP environments while following change and compliance procedures.
Execute SQL queries for data validation, troubleshooting, and analysis.
Support validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) and maintain compliance documentation as required.
Support & Operations
Handle incidents, service requests, and problems using BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, JIRA, or similar ticketing tools.
Follow ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
Collaborate with functional teams, QA, and manufacturing during issue resolution and deployments.
Technical Skills
Strong experience in Werum PAS‑X administration and support.
Solid SQL and database knowledge.
Experience supporting validated pharmaceutical manufacturing systems.
Must‑Have
Hands‑on experience troubleshooting and supporting Werum PAS‑X in production environments.
Good to Have
Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences domain knowledge.
Familiarity with GMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and validated systems.
Compensation: - $120,000 to $150,000 +/- and this position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans. Application will be accepted by 3/18/2026
