Job Description
Cognizant's Hardware Operations team provides interactive panoramas from positions along many streets in the world. The Hardware Support Engineer will test and debug advanced client-designed equipment, complete on-demand engineering tests, and produce technical solutions. They will also manage field support technical projects, analyze common hardware failures, and create technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist engineering teams testing advanced client-designed equipment
- Analyze common HW failures by testing and debugging specific client-designed electronics equipment
- SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF DOCUMENTATION FOR TEST PROCEDURES AND REPORTS
- Audit and maintain knowledge resources with accurate information
- Perform SME duties for review of hardware support troubleshooting and repair procedures at a global scale
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience
- Ability to travel frequently
- Valid passport or ability to obtain one within A clear driving record (MVR) and ability to operate motor vehicles
- Expert knowledge of hand tools, light power tools, types and application of hardware, measuring tools and techniques, basic automotive repair, and understanding of wiring diagrams
- Intermediate knowledge of Linux, working knowledge of ticketing systems, Gmail and Google Calendar, and basic spreadsheet tasks
