The annual salary for this position is between $ 81,000 - $ 135,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

In This Role, You Will
- Develop large scale data structures, pipelines and efficient ETL (extract/load/transform) workflows to organize, collect and standardize data that helps generate insights and addresses reporting needs.
- Collaborate with other data teams to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes.
- Use knowledge in Big Data architecture and experience designing & optimizing queries to build data pipelines.
- Build data marts and data models to support Data Science and other internal customers.
- Analyse current information technology environments to identify and assess critical capabilities and recommend solutions.
- Experiment with available tools and advises on new tools in order to determine optimal solution given the requirements dictated by the model/use cases

What You Need To Have To Be Considered
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Google Cloud Platform
- Hands-on expertise with GCP services: Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, Cloud Composer
- Strong proficiency in workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow and Cloud Composer
- Experience with relational databases such as Cloud SQL and PostgreSQL
- Solid understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, and pipeline architecture
- Practical experience with Python and PySpark for building scalable data pipelines
- Familiarity with containerized deployments using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
