Salary And Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $71,100 to $112,500, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

In This Role, You Will
- Design, develop, and implement UI and API automation scripts using Playwright
- Lead performance testing initiatives, including hands‑on JMeter script development and execution
- Define and implement automation frameworks using BDD/TDD approaches such as Cucumber and design patterns like Page Object Model (POM)
- Drive web services and API automation, ensuring coverage, reliability, and maintainability
- Lead and mentor an automation team, including code reviews, automation architecture, and solution design

What You Need To Have To Be Considered
- Strong hands‑on experience with Playwright for UI and API automation testing, requiring strong JavaScript and/or Java coding skills
- Proven experience in automation framework design and implementation using BDD/TDD (Cucumber, POM)
- Hands‑on expertise in JMeter performance testing, including script development
- Solid experience with web services and API automation
- Proven ability to lead, manage, and review automation work for testing teams
- Experience with Pactflow or contract testing in microservices environments
- Ability to collaborate closely with development architects to propose automation solutions
- Strong experience working in Agile delivery environments
- Hands‑on experience tracking automation progress and metrics using JIRA
