Title : Senior Data Management / Data Modeler- Southlake- TX
Role Overview
- Lead the design, development, and governance of enterprise-level data models
- Collaborate across business, architecture, development, operations, and security teams
- Drive metadata management, data classification, and observability best practices
- Mentor junior team members and advocate for best-in-class data management solutions
Key Responsibilities
- Design both transactional and analytical databases based on business requirements
- Evaluate data processing pipelines for enhanced organization and reuse
- Implement metadata capture and data classification strategies
- Provide mentorship on data modeling and governance practices
- Keep metadata current, enforce security governance, and stay informed on data trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field
- 8–10 years in data modeling with strong backgrounds in 3NF and star schemas
- Expertise in SQL, ERwin, and cloud platforms (BigQuery/Data Catalog)
- Strong understanding of data integration patterns and metadata management
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and analytical skills
- Financial domain experience (banking, brokerage, insurance) preferred
