Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced technical leader with a strong background in cloud data engineering and development. The ideal candidate will have:
- 10 years of technical and development experience
- 3 years of hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Databricks.
- Expertise in ETL, SQL, and PySpark.
- Experience managing cloud applications (network security management is a plus).
- Familiarity with Git repositories and release pipelines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail.
- One or more professional Azure certifications.
- Prior work experience in IBM DataStage (mandatory).
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Databricks.
- Implement and optimize ETL processes and data workflows.
- Manage and monitor cloud applications, ensuring security and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
- Utilize Git for version control and manage CI/CD pipelines for deployments.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and manage priorities across multiple projects.
- Leverage prior experience in DataStage for migration or integration tasks.

The annual salary for this position is between $81,000 – $ 130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
