Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Product Specialist with 5 to 7 years of experience in .Net MS SQL Server and ASP.NET MVC specifically within the Transportation and Logistics domain. The role involves working in a hybrid model with day shifts. The candidate will contribute to the development and enhancement of our transportation solutions ensuring they meet industry standards and client expectations. This position does not require travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using .Net MS SQL Server and ASP.NET MVC that align with business requirements in the Transportation and Logistics domain.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements ensuring a comprehensive understanding of project objectives.
• Implement best practices in coding and software design to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure seamless functionality and user experience.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing systems addressing any issues promptly and efficiently.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency across the development team.
• Document software specifications and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and future reference.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity within MS SQL Server environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for system improvements and innovation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all software development activities.
• Contribute to the development of project timelines and deliverables ensuring timely completion of tasks.
• Support the deployment of software solutions ensuring smooth integration into existing systems.

Qualifications

• Possess strong technical expertise in .Net MS SQL Server and ASP.NET MVC with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the Transportation and Logistics domain understanding its unique challenges and requirements.
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively.
• Show proficiency in software development methodologies and best practices ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Display strong communication skills enabling effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
• Have a keen eye for detail ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of software development.
• Be adaptable and open to learning new technologies and methodologies as required by the project.
• The annual salary for this position is between $92,000 – $105,000 COLA Bonus depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
  This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
