Title: Sr. Java AWS Developer
Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 months contract

Position Summary
Responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and solutions using Java-based applications on AWS technologies. Your primary focus will be on creating efficient and robust solutions that aligns with the organization's objectives and practices in software development.
Key Responsibilities
- Nice to have experience in Web/UI development using HTML / CSS / JavaScript, Angular.js
- Experience working in an Agile Environment.
- Strong analytics and troubleshooting skills a must
- Prior experience working with financial reporting, financial systems, financial and audit processes
- Strong ability to communicate technical concepts, terms, and language to technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent trouble shooting experience
- Functional knowledge of various Java and AWS application components
- Familiarity with version control systems
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Java and AWS technical certifications in the product being supported.
- Certification in at least one formal development methodology.
- Techno functional knowledge and experience in Java and AWS.
- Minimum six years of experience in Information Technology, including at least five years in a developer role.
- Java, Spring boot, REST services.
- Experienced with RDS database.
- Good knowledge on AWS assets - Lambda, ECS, EC2, Step Functions, IAM.
- Knowledge of change and release management processes.
- Ability to design and develop new features from requirements as well asable to support time sensitive production activities.
- Ability to debug existing code and troubleshoot any issue with minimal response time.
- Proven experience in software development using Java and AWS technologies.
- Experience with Aurora Database and other relational databases.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships both with IT teams and business customers.
- Extensive experience in programming and/or systems analysis experience.
- Have a broad level of understanding surrounding information systems and application architecture standards
- Ability to estimate reliably the time, effort, dependencies, and resources required to complete a development task.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in client-focused service delivery environments.
