Job Title: Nutanix Systems Administrator

Experience: 4–5 Years

Location: Remote

Salary: $104k per annum

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Nutanix Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize Nutanix infrastructure in a remote environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), virtualization, system administration, troubleshooting, and infrastructure monitoring. This role will help ensure the availability, performance, security, and reliability of enterprise infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain Nutanix infrastructure and hyperconverged systems.
• Manage Nutanix clusters, nodes, storage, and virtual machines.
• Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, performance, and availability using Nutanix Prism.
• Perform routine system maintenance, software upgrades, patching, and configuration changes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, virtualization, and infrastructure-related issues.
• Support virtual machine provisioning, resource allocation, and lifecycle management.
• Monitor cluster health and investigate alerts to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
• Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation, operational procedures, and system configuration records.
• Collaborate with network, storage, security, and infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues.
• Follow IT security policies, change management processes, and operational best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure management, or virtualization.
• Hands-on experience administering Nutanix environments and hyperconverged infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of Nutanix Prism, cluster management, and virtual machine administration.
• Experience with virtualization technologies, preferably Nutanix AHV.
• Knowledge of storage, networking, server infrastructure, and operating system administration.
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, and performance optimization.
• Understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.

Required Certifications

• Nutanix Certified Associate (NCA).
• Nutanix Certified Professional – Multicloud Infrastructure (NCP-MCI).

Desired Qualifications

• Practical experience with Nutanix AHV and Prism Element/Prism Central.
• Experience with cluster capacity planning, performance monitoring, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with enterprise IT change management and incident management processes.
