Key Responsibilities:
Shipping and Receiving:
- Coordinate the accurate receipt and inspection of products from vendors.
- Oversee and participate in the storage of products in designated locations, ensuring organization and accessibility.
- Lead the picking, packing, and shipping of products to customers with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
- Use power tools to ensure packaging for shipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during loading and unloading processes.
Leadership Support:
- Act as the point of contact for the warehouse team during daily operations.
- Provide guidance and direction to team members to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Assist in training new employees on shipping, receiving, and warehouse procedures.
- Foster a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.
Administrative and Computer Skills:
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update systems using Excel or other warehouse management tools.
- Assist in generating reports on shipping/receiving activities and inventory levels.
- Use Microsoft Office Suite to communicate with internal teams and support warehouse operations.
- Identify and recommend process improvements for greater efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in logistics or related fields is a plus.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or logistics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with warehouse management systems.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to guide and support a team effectively.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
