Key Responsibilities
Field Supervision & Execution
- Manage day-to-day job site operations, ensuring smooth workflow and productivity
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field labor
- Enforce adherence to project drawings, specifications, and quality expectations
- Assist the project team in developing and maintaining the construction schedule
- Monitor daily progress and implement adjustments to stay on track
- Communicate scheduling needs and conflicts to the Project Manager
- Promote and enforce safety policies and OSHA standards
- Conduct daily safety meetings, site inspections, and maintain safety documentation
- Identify and correct unsafe work practices immediately
- Perform daily inspections to ensure work meets or exceeds quality standards
- Identify and address any construction deficiencies or non-conformities
- Assist in punch list development and project closeout
- Maintain accurate daily logs, including labor, equipment, weather, and progress
- Report job site issues, delays, or changes to the Project Manager in a timely manner
- Assist with RFI and submittal coordination as needed
- High school diploma or GED required; additional training or certifications in construction management preferred
- 5-8 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction, including 2 years as a Foreman or Assistant Superintendent
- Experience working on projects in the $2M-$20M range preferred
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and schedules
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Proficiency with field management tools and software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Construct Connect, Quick Bid, MS Project)
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and local building codes
