Chief Financial Officer - Utilities Services

Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for leading all financial operations of the organization and serving as a strategic business partner to executive leadership. The CFO oversees accounting, treasury, tax, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, risk management, HR, and strategic planning

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute financial strategy aligned with company objectives
• Partner with executive leadership on growth initiatives, capital allocation, and business planning
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Prepare and present financial statements and performance analyses
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and tax obligations
• Manage banking, lending, financing, and cash flow activities
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and risk management practices
• Lead audits and serve as primary contact for external auditors
• Develop and mentor finance and accounting staff
• Evaluate financial systems and ERP platforms to improve efficiency
• Support mergers, acquisitions, due diligence, and special projects
  
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required
• MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred
• 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, and internal controls
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills
