What are the responsibilities and job description for the Platform Engineer position at Coframe?
About the role
This is one of the highest‑impact, highest‑responsibility roles at Coframe. You’ll help define how our software is built, shipped, secured, and scaled—raising the productivity of every team while shaping our long‑term platform architecture.
Who You Are
You’re a platform engineer who’s worn multiple hats across companies. You’re not locked into a single stack—you’ve built systems end‑to‑end, owned outcomes, and learned where theory breaks down in production.
You’re a strong fit if you’ve:
- Built and scaled complex infrastructure systems with real production ownership
- Worked hands‑on with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and net‑new cloud infrastructure
- Operated in SOC 2 Type 2–certified environments and naturally think in terms of audit trails and compliance‑aware design
- Exercised strong judgment across security, reliability, cost, and iteration‑speed tradeoffs
- Formed strong opinions about how legacy systems should be improved or replaced
- Been operating at the edge of AI‑first development and understand both the power and limits of AI coding tools
What You’ll Do
- Build internal platforms and AI loops that materially increase iteration speed
- Strengthen security, compliance, and operational readiness as the company scales
- Improve CI/CD, testing, deployments, and developer environments
- Evaluate and implement new tooling, storage, and compute systems
- Enable non‑technical staff to safely build and ship improvements
- Help engineering teams ship scalable, enterprise‑ready systems faster
- Resolve incidents and production issues with both immediate fixes and long‑term solutions
Requirements
- Experience owning production infrastructure end‑to‑end (Kubernetes, CI/CD, cloud environments)
- Hands‑on work with data pipelines (Kafka, Flink, Apache, or similar), ideally building and operating them
- Familiarity integrating AI coding tools into real engineering workflows (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Devin)
- Experience designing systems with security, reliability, cost, and compliance (SOC 2 Type 2) in mind
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats and taking ownership across infra, data, and developer productivity
Bonus: ML platform experience (model serving, latency optimization, GPU scheduling)
Benefits
- Flexible (Unlimited) Paid Time Off
- Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage for you and your family
- Life Insurance and Disability benefits
- 401(k) plan with Coframe match
- Meals covered when in‑office
- Gym membership
Salary: $200,000 - $300,000 based on combined experience
