Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer with a minimum 10 years of experience, who wants to work and grow as a team player within our progressive multi-discipline firm. The successful individual will be a licensed structural engineer with solid experience in the design of steel, concrete, and wood materials for commercial and industrial buildings.

Qualifications

• Perform and oversee structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of commercial and industrial building projects
• Collaborate with the architect, owner, and contractor to provide a well-coordinated and high-quality set of structural drawings
• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of engineers, designers and drafters to execute structural designs.
• Meet with the project team to ensure effective communication flow during design
• Interface with the contractor during construction to ensure positive results with minimum complications
• Attend construction site visits and assist in construction administration.
• Manage profitability of projects and maintain a working relationship with clients
• Participate in business development, including proposal writing and contact negotiations
• Be available to travel to local job sites and client meetings several times per week.
• Be present in the office during the days and hours that are set by the office manager. In-office work is required for this role.
• Be able to lift 35 pounds, climb ladders, and work from high platforms.
• Be able to simultaneously work on multiple projects with challenging schedules in a high-energy work environment.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Expected annual salary of $120,000 - $140,000.
