Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville, KS. The Pharmacist will be responsible for accurately reviewing and verifying medication orders, preparing and dispensing medications, and ensuring safe, evidence-based pharmacotherapy for inpatients and outpatients. Daily responsibilities include performing medication profile reviews, monitoring for drug interactions and contraindications, and providing medication counseling and education to patients, caregivers, and clinical team members. The role also involves collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on medication management, dosing adjustments, and therapeutic substitutions. Additional tasks may include participating in medication safety initiatives, maintaining regulatory and accreditation standards, supporting inventory management, and contributing to clinical and quality improvement projects within the pharmacy department.
Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy; current or eligible Kansas pharmacist license.
• Demonstrated clinical pharmacy knowledge in areas such as pharmacotherapy, drug information, and medication safety, with the ability to apply evidence-based guidelines in a hospital setting.
• Experience with hospital or health-system pharmacy operations, including order verification, sterile and non-sterile compounding, and use of electronic health records and pharmacy information systems.
• Strong patient-centered communication skills, including the ability to provide clear medication counseling and to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Proven attention to detail, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety.
• Commitment to ethical practice, regulatory compliance (e.g., Joint Commission, state and federal pharmacy regulations), and continuous quality improvement.
• Ability to work varied shifts as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to participate in on-call coverage if required by department needs.
• Preferred: Previous experience in a critical access or acute care hospital; completion of a PGY1 pharmacy residency or equivalent clinical experience;
