What are the responsibilities and job description for the RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST - PRN position at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center Inc?
JOB DUTIES:
- Complete the patient’s intake process, taking patient’s histories, and preparing and educating patients about the imaging procedure
- Review patient charts and Doctor’s notes before the examination, and maintain patient records during and after procedures.
- Position patients and equipment to capture the correct area and produce clear images
- Monitor patients and ensure their safety during imaging procedures
- Calibrate the equipment to ensure clear, usable images are taken of the correct area as specified by the Doctor
- Log and organize image results and consult with Radiologists to determine if other images need to be taken
- Coordinate with the radiology department to schedule and complete radiographic procedures
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current radiology practices
- Maintain confidentiality of all information according to HIPAA and company policy
The Registered Radiologic Technician assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Detail-oriented with proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and ease in developing rapport with others
- Strong attention to detail, vigilance, and meticulous care on the job
- Ability to operate and understand radiographic technology and equipment
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and operate heavy machinery without assistance
- Computer skills, including MSOffice, Outlook, Meditech
- Ability to move, position self, consistently operate various types of equipment, able to detect/observe/identify details at close or distant range with or without accommodations, as well as exerting 20 to 50 pounds occasionally, or 10 to 25 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Graduate of approved school of Radiologic Technology, required
- ARRT registered or eligible. required
- Kansas state Radiologic Technologist license, required
- BLS certification, required
- One year of Radiology experience, preferred
