Summary
We are seeking a Correctional Nurse (LPN / RN) to join our team at Coffey Health System. In this vital role, you will contribute to our mission by providing high-quality nursing care in our clinic and the county jail setting. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an Nurse Practitioner.
- Provide daily (Monday - Friday) health care services to inmates within the Coffey County Jail.
- Float within the clinics of Coffey County Hospital; as needed.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
- Access and implement nursing care based on need.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Qualifications
- Valid nursing license in the state of Kansas.
- Experience in clinic or corrections based settings preferred.
- Proficient in medication administration and patient assessment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $40.00 per hour
