Job Description
Assistant of Excellence
(21st Century Community Learning Centers)
Responsible to: Site Director of Extended School Program
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be eighteen years old or a senior in high school
- Must pass a pre-employment physical examination with controlled substance
testing and random tests for controlled substances and alcohol, fingerprints and
background checks
- Prefer prior experience working with children
General Requirements:
- Conducts oneself in the best interest of students, in accordance with the highest
standards of public education and in support of the Program's Vision/Mission
Statements
- Maintains ethical standards, which include professionalism and the protection of
confidential student and staff information
- Projects a positive image of the Coffee County School System at all times
- Monitors and maintains the safety of all children at the Excellence site
- Other responsibilities and/or duties may be required and assigned
Essential Responsibilities:
- Supervision of students
- Maintain a safe and fun environment for attendees
- Assist the site director in all capacities
- Assist students with homework daily
- Organize and participate in recreational activities, such as games
- Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity area
- Assist with snacks and full day food prep
- Prepare and assist with craft activities
- Monitor children on field trips
- Clean and maintain sanitary conditions at the site
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Excellence Site Director
