Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Greet customers warmly, taking their orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change using cash handling skills and retail math proficiency
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and serving counters
- Follow food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and compliance
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including assembling sandwiches or snacks as needed
- Manage time effectively during busy morning hours to ensure quick service without sacrificing quality
Experience
- Previous barista experience in a fast-paced café or food service environment is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in order processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order totaling
- Experience in serving or food industry roles that require multitasking and quick thinking
- Excellent time management skills to handle early morning shifts smoothly while maintaining high standards
