Position Summary
The Benefits Account Manager plays a key role in providing exceptional service across payroll processing, HR support, and client account management. This role blends technical benefits administration, customer service, and hands-on problem solving. You’ll be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring their experience with Coeur is outstanding through timely and accurate benefits administration, and efficient benefit reconciliation.
Responsibilities
- Benefits Administration: Expertly manage the benefits administration process for new hires, employee status changes, terminations, and qualifying life events. This includes calculating deductions for payroll adjustments, departing employees final paychecks, and processing all changes with the insurance carriers. And maintain accurate and organized records of all benefits transactions.
- Invoice Reconciliation & Payment: Diligently reconcile monthly insurance carrier invoices against payroll deductions, ensuring complete accuracy and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Client & Employee Support: Serve as a trusted point of contact for our clients and their employees. Provide clear, empathetic, and timely support for all benefits-related inquiries, including questions about eligibility, plans, deductions, and enrollment.
- Internal Support: Assist the benefits team with various functions as needed including but not limited to benefit administration, open enrollment support, generating reports, and other benefit-related projects.
Required:
- 2 years of direct experience in benefits administration, HR, or a closely related field.
- Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to perform reconciliations and manage spreadsheets with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an exceptional eye for detail.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet firm deadlines.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a multi-client environment (e.g., PEO, benefits brokerage, or consulting firm).
- Familiarity with HRIS or benefits administration software platforms.
- A foundational understanding of benefits compliance, including COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA.
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, or a related field.
- Health and Life Insurance Producer or Consultant’s License
