Job Summary
The Painter position is an entry-level skilled role responsible for executing painting tasks with minimal supervision. This individual should have a foundational understanding of surface preparation, paint application, and job site safety. As a key part of the team, the Painter contributes to the delivery of high-quality finishes on residential and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by sanding, caulking, patching, masking, and priming as needed
- Apply paints and coatings with brushes, rollers, and sprayers in a clean and efficient manner
- Perform detailed work on windows, doors, trim, soffits, fascia, shutters, etc.
- Read and follow work orders and instructions from supervisors and team leads
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site throughout each project
- Load/unload materials, set up scaffolding or ladders safely, and assist in project clean-up
- Ensure tools and equipment are used properly and maintained
- Communicate with team members to support a productive and respectful work environment
Safety Responsibilities
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies on and off-site
- Use proper PPE at all times (respirators, masks, goggles, gloves, etc.)
- Safely operate tools, ladders, and equipment
- Participate in job site safety meetings and report any hazards or incidents immediately
- Actively contribute to a culture of safety awareness and accountability
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of professional painting or construction experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights on ladders or scaffolding
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Excellent work ethic, communication skills, and team-first attitude
