Codispoti Law is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney who wants to do sophisticated, meaningful planning work in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

This role is ideal for an attorney with strong estate planning experience who enjoys guiding clients through important life and legacy decisions, values high-quality work product, and wants to be part of a modern, supportive firm culture.

We are not looking for a volume-based “document churn” attorney. We are building a long-term team focused on thoughtful counsel, strong client relationships, and excellent planning outcomes for families, professionals, and business owners.

Key Responsibilities:

You will lead clients through comprehensive estate planning matters from consultation through execution, with support from an experienced team and established systems.

Your work will include:

  • Advising clients on estate planning strategies tailored to their goals and family dynamics
  • Drafting and reviewing sophisticated estate planning documents, including:

-Revocable trusts

-Irrevocable trusts

-Wills

-Powers of attorney

-Advance directives

  • Assisting clients with trust funding and implementation
  • Collaborating with financial advisors, CPAs, and other professionals when appropriate
  • Supporting probate and trust administration matters as needed
  • Mentoring junior team members, legal assistants, or paralegals
  • Contributing to the continued development of firm systems and client experience

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active Texas Bar license
  • 5 years of estate planning experience
  • Experience drafting revocable and irrevocable trusts
  • Familiarity with high-net-worth or complex planning matters
  • Working knowledge of estate, gift, and trust planning concepts
  • Experience with uncontested probate matters preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and client counseling skills
  • Ability to manage matters with professionalism and attention to detail
  • Comfort using legal technology and case management systems

Preferred Experience

  • WealthCounsel experience
  • Lawmatics experience
  • Exposure to advanced planning or tax-oriented strategies
  • Experience mentoring junior attorneys or support staff

Compensation

  • Base salary: $130,000–$150,000 depending on experience
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities
  • Additional earning potential tied to production, leadership contribution, and firm growth
