Phlebotomist Job Duties:
1. Draw high-quality blood samples from patients, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
2. Explain procedures clearly to patients to build trust and ensure comfort.
3. Label and verify specimens in the presence of the patient to ensure accuracy.
4. Prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures.
5. Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
6. Perform specimen collection duties (clinical and forensic) accurately and on time.
7. Enter patient demographic information and maintain proper documentation.
8. Travel to and cover multiple Patient Service Center (PSC) or In-Office Phlebotomy locations as needed.
9. Follow company policies regarding dress code, safety, and compliance.
10. Communicate effectively with patients, peers, and supervisors.
11. Demonstrate leadership behaviors, customer focus, and adaptability in high-volume settings.
Job Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Phlebotomy certification preferred (mandatory in CA, NV, WA).
* Minimum **3 years of phlebotomy experience**, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws.
* Experience in a Patient Service Center or customer service setting preferred.
* Strong data entry and computer skills.
* Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if travel is required).
* Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
