What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grain Drill Operator position at Codington Conservation District?
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Must be able to drive tractor pulling the district’s grass drill. Must be able to calibrate the drill to seed grass, cover crops, and other crops/grasses as requested.
· Willing to work with landowner in a professional, courteous manner to schedule the seeding of grasses/crops and stay in touch with landowner regarding the schedule as seeding season progresses.
· Keep records of acres seeded and names, addresses, phone numbers, if necessary, to give information to District Manager for billing purposes.
· Responsible for scheduling and moving the district’s John Deere no-till drill around the county to landowners requesting to rent the drill. Staying in touch with landowner for dropping off and picking up the drill, and keeping track of acres and information to give to the District Manager for billing purposes.
· Would be responsible for all maintenance of both drills; whatever light maintenance can be done personally or taking them into repair shops.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
