Responsibilities
- Lead engaging coding classes and workshops tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- Develop creative lesson plans that incorporate hands-on activities, projects, and real-world applications
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a positive learning environment for all students
- Provide individualized support and tutoring to help students overcome challenges and achieve their goals
- Incorporate principles of childhood development, early childhood education, and behavior management into your teaching approach
- Foster a safe space by applying first aid procedures when necessary and ensuring student well-being at all times
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, or camp coordinators to communicate student progress and address any concerns
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring children or students in a classroom or camp setting
- Strong understanding of programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar coding platforms
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Experience working with children with diverse needs, including special education or early childhood education backgrounds preferred
- Ability to demonstrate patience, creativity, and enthusiasm while working with young learners
- Certifications in first aid or child safety are a plus but not mandatory
- At least 15 years or older
