About the Role:

The Security Guard plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of personnel, property, and assets within various environments across the United States. This position involves vigilant monitoring of access points, ensuring that only authorized individuals enter secured areas, and responding promptly to any security breaches or emergencies. The Security Guard will utilize advanced wireless technology and radio communication to coordinate with team members and emergency services effectively. Additionally, the role requires proactive asset protection through regular patrols and environmental controls to prevent theft, vandalism, or damage. Ultimately, the Security Guard ensures a safe and secure environment by adhering to fire safety protocols and responding to fire alarms and other safety incidents with professionalism and urgency.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Security PILB or certification as required by state regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of access control systems and security protocols.
  • Ability to operate radio communication devices and wireless technology.
  • Physical capability to perform repetitive motions and conduct patrols for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in security or law enforcement roles.
  • Training in fire safety and emergency response procedures.
  • Familiarity with environmental control systems and fire alarm operations.
  • First aid and CPR certification.
  • Strong observational and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control access to facilities by verifying credentials and authorizing entry to authorized personnel only.
  • Conduct regular patrols of premises to detect and deter suspicious activities or security breaches.
  • Operate and maintain communication equipment such as radios to coordinate with security teams and emergency responders.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to fire alarms, environmental control alerts, and other emergency situations.
  • Document and report any incidents, irregularities, or safety hazards observed during shifts.
  • Implement asset protection measures to safeguard company property and prevent loss or damage.
  • Ensure compliance with all fire safety regulations and assist in emergency evacuation procedures when necessary.
