Overview
We are seeking a highly vigilant and professional Armed Guard to ensure the safety and security of designated premises, personnel, and assets. The Armed Guard will be responsible for monitoring security systems, patrolling assigned areas, and responding to incidents with professionalism and composure.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security threats
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, including medical incidents requiring first aid or CPR if necessary
- Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, or loss of property
- Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with law enforcement or emergency services when required
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism, employing conflict management skills to de-escalate potential threats
- Control access points by verifying credentials and ensuring only authorized personnel enter restricted areas
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing suspicious behavior and intervening when appropriate
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and security standards at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields preferred
- Valid security guard license or certification as required by local regulations
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, or emergency response are highly desirable
- Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems preferred
- Excellent conflict management and de-escalation abilities
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations effectively
- Physical fitness to perform patrol duties and respond swiftly to incidents
- Strong communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and professionally
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed
