Armed Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity and ensure physical security measures are in place.
• Operate access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for authorized personnel, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Utilize surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to monitor activity across the site continuously.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies by following established procedures, including fire safety protocols, medical incidents, or security breaches.
• Perform background checks on potential employees or visitors when required to maintain compliance with security regulations.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities with clarity and accuracy.
• Handle conflict de-escalation techniques and manage difficult situations professionally while maintaining safety for all parties involved.

Skills

• Proven experience in surveillance operations, law enforcement, military service, or private security roles.
• Strong knowledge of physical security practices including patrolling, heavy lifting, manual handling, and emergency response procedures.
• Certified in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and fire safety protocols.
• Skilled in firearm handling, Taser deployment, and other security equipment such as access control systems.
• Excellent conflict management and de-escalation skills to handle tense situations effectively.
• Ability to perform background checks accurately and ensure compliance with all security regulations.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a professional demeanor when interacting with visitors and staff.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
