What we are looking for
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on IT Security Manager to lead and enhance our organization’s cybersecurity posture. This role is responsible for managing security operations, developing security policies, and implementing frameworks that protect critical IT assets from cyber threats. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to managing IT risks across the business.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s IT security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Oversee day-to-day security operations and incident response.
- Monitor and analyze security systems to detect and respond to threats in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular and proactive security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk analyses.
- Oversee the deployment and management of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), SIEM tools, antivirus software, and encryption protocols.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Lead security awareness training and education programs for employees.
- Collaborate with IT, compliance, and business teams to integrate security into all phases of IT and business operations.
- Coordinate response efforts to security breaches and incidents, ensuring proper investigation and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5 years of experience in IT security, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong knowledge of security technologies, network and system security, application security, and cloud security.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent strongly preferred.
- Experience with security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO, NIST, COBIT).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Proven ability to assess risk and translate it into business impact and actionable strategies.
- Experience in JumpCloud Administration is a plus
