Coda Search is proud to partner with a global trading firm based in Fairfield County, CT. This dynamic firm boasts annual revenues in excess of $2 billion and operates across various global entities. The VP of Financial Reporting will play a crucial role in managing the month-end close, overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, and leading the preparation of consolidated financials for both international and domestic entities. The Manager of Financial Reporting will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the consolidated financial reporting package, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage the month-end close process, overseeing all items on the balance sheet and income statement.
- Manage the General Ledger (GL) and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct detailed analysis of financial data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare monthly schedules and work papers for various balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Perform variance analysis to identify significant variances and provide explanations for management review.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting requirements across the firm, providing financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
- Assist with the annual audit, preparing supporting documentation and addressing auditor inquiries to ensure compliance with audit requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of financial reporting processes.
- CPA certification required or actively working towards completion.
- Experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is required.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Salary : $175,000 - $220,000
