Import/Export Coordinator
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Import/Export Coordinator to join our team in a full-time, on-site position in Moonachie, NJ. This role will be responsible for coordinating import and export shipments, managing documentation, supporting customers, and ensuring compliance with applicable trade and transportation regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage import and export documentation and shipment processes.
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments from initiation through completion.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of import/export documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service and serve as a key point of contact for customers.
- Ensure shipments comply with applicable customs, trade, and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate with customers, carriers, vendors, and other stakeholders regarding shipment status and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to shipments.
- Effectively manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Must have hands-on Import/Export experience working for an NVOCC.
- Strong knowledge of import and export operations and documentation.
- Customer service experience within the logistics, transportation, or freight forwarding industry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in logistics, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, or supply chain management is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
