oda Search is partnering with a highly reputable Private Equity group seeking to hire an Assistant Controller to join its growing finance and accounting team. This individual will play a key role in overseeing fund accounting operations, supporting the deal team throughout the investment lifecycle, and assisting with financial reporting and fund accounting functions across the platform.

Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing the financial reporting for multiple private equity funds and investment vehicles.
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage the month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and workpaper preparation.
- Support the deal team with transaction execution and closing activities
- Coordinate with external auditors and fund administrators
- Prepare investor reporting packages, capital account statements, and performance analyses.
- Review partnership allocations, waterfalls, and carried interest calculations.
- Assist with cash management, liquidity planning, and treasury-related activities.
- Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred.
- 5 years of accounting experience within private equity, real estate, investment management, or public accounting.
- Strong understanding of fund accounting, partnership accounting, and investment reporting.
- Experience supporting investment/deal teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills required; experience with accounting platforms and fund reporting systems preferred.
Salary : $175,000 - $225,000
