Middle School Tutor

Under the direct supervision of the Education Director, the tutor is

responsible for tutoring/counseling and scheduling middle school

students during the normal school year, as well as performing classroom

aide duties during the summer program.

• Supervise elementary/middle school students in tutorial programs,
  
  

study hall, and tribal learning centers.

• Monitor and assist elementary/middle school students and provide
  
  

support, guidance, and direction for academic retention.

• Contact teachers for students past due assignments, homework, and
  
  

assist with proper study techniques.

• Assist teachers with planning curriculum including summer
  
  

curriculum.

• Assist teacher with supervision and monitoring of students in
  
  

classroom and on field trips.

• Assist teacher with classroom projects, daily activities, and
  
  

coordination of special events.

• Compile and study educational information to aid students in
  
  

completing educational objectives.

• Engage in research and follow-up to evaluate tutoring techniques.
• Should be aware of the community and its resources.
• Must be able to work with little supervision.
• Successful candidate will be subject to pre-employment and on-going
  
  

random drug/alcohol testing.

• Must be able to undergo and pass a BIA/FBI fingerprint background
  
  

investigation.
