Job Summary
The Automotive Office Assistant and Biller accurately records the sale, profits, and commissions payable on all sold units, and maintains accurate accounting of vehicle inventories.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Bill all new and used car deals and post into account.
- Receipt all monies received for new and used car deals.
- Organize all paperwork in each deal; check for completeness.
- Process pay-off checks for trade-ins and mail to appropriate financial institution in a timely manner.
- Generate and maintain the salesperson’s commission reports and list of commissions on hold.
- Process new car title work and route used car title work to the Tag & Title Clerk when the deal is funded.
- Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Environment
- This job operates in a clerical office setting.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
- Occasional bending and standing
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a Non-Exempt, full-time hourly position.
- Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Evening and weekend work will be required as job duties demand.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2 years of dealership experience or similar environment.
- 6 months as dealership biller preferred.
- ADP Experience preferred.
- Basic working knowledge of accounting.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screen (background & hair follicle drug test)
