PARKS AND RECREATION: COCONINO COUNTY FAIR EVENT STAFF
Coconino County Parks and Recreation (CCPR) is hiring for a part-time, temporary position to assist with hiring the Coconino County Fair Event Staff. This temporary position does not include benefits.
Dates of Employment: June 1, 2026 – September 7, 2026
This is a flexible schedule; some job duties will involve evenings and weekends, at an average of 15-17 hours per week
Wage of $18.35 per hour
Job offer is contingent on background check
County-issued cell phone and laptop will be provided for business use only
Coconino County Fair Hiring Assistant:
Communicate (via email/text/call) with candidates on their areas of interest, position, and schedule, collecting applicant information, and organizing pertinent information via a Fair hiring spreadsheet provided by County Parks & Recreation (CCPR) Staff.
Complete "Public Access" inquiries for candidates and update the Fair hiring spreadsheet with all pertinent information.
Assist CCPR Staff in assigning people to County Fair positions.
Confirm positions and schedules with candidates, address shift changes, and candidate withdrawals.
Collaborate with CCPR on Fair temporary staff processing, a smooth onboarding, and communicate with Fair temporary staff as needed.
Distribute training schedules via text/email when positions are finalized.
Make continuous changes to Fair hiring spreadsheet or other documents as needed until all temporary staff training is completed.
Additional duties, as assigned.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
The offer of employment is subject to the verification of eligibility for employment as required by Arizona and federal law, therefore applicant must provide unexpired identification documentation/s to successfully complete the I-9 verification process.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organization skills, ability to type, and enter information into and manage spreadsheets. The ideal candidate would initiate communication with people, troubleshoot scheduling information and conflicts, and follow up with people.Knowledge
