Position Summary
The lead instructor is responsible for teaching courses within the College's non-credit RV Maintenance Technology program. The RV Maintenance Technology program is a new program being developed based on industry demand and will incorporate stackable trainings and certifications, on-site industry training, and building a business. The Instructor will assist with curriculum development, student recruitment and support, and collaboration with community partners. This is a part-time, non- benefited position. The RV Maintenance Technician program will be offered in Flagstaff, Page and Williams, taught by one or multiple instructors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses, adhering to course outlines and student learning objectives, provided through RV Technical Institute proprietary curriculum.
- Assist in setting up classrooms, labs, and hands-on activities for students.
- Deliver a minimum of Level 1 instruction of the RVTI curriculum.
- Assist in maintaining the function, appearance, setup, and safety of the classroom and shop areas. Including reordering of lab and classroom supplies.
- Keep and submit all essential instructional records according to grant reporting requirements including reporting grades and attendance.
- Respond to student inquiries in a timely manner.
- Communicate with students and provide career path guidance.
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (Canvas and RVTI LMS) to at least the minimum threshold as indicated in college procedures.
- Work closely with advisory and industry partners on program and curriculum development and cooperative education and internship options.
- Check CCC email and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Attend college meetings as required.
- Participate in student assessment and relevant program assessment as directed.
- Remain current in practices, trends, and research related to discipline area.
- Follow all college policies and procedures.
- Assist Extended Learning and CTE staff on projects related to the program as needed.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of RV Maintenance applications and technical skills, including propane, electrical, appliances, generators, chassis and RV body.
- Knowledge of effective teaching strategies.
- Knowledge of online learning systems.
- Skill using computers and job-related software programs.
- Skill in working effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Ability to independently manage workload and meet deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student population.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of Level 1 RV Technical Institute certification, or ability to complete upon hiring. High School Diploma (Associates or Bachelor's degree is a plus).
PreferredExperience in teaching in a learner-centered college environment. Completion of Level 2 RV Technical Institute certification. Associates Degree. Experience working with a diverse student population.
