What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Services Technician II position at Coconino Community College?
This position assists faculty and staff with classroom technology, multimedia equipment, online teaching, and providing desktop computer software and hardware support. This position also provides technical support and training for personal computer hardware, software, and equipment for all sites in the college district. This is a temporary, full-time position.
Salary & Benefits:
- Anticipated Hiring Range: $22.48 - $27.88/hour - depending on education and experience
- Full Salary Range: $22.48 - $33.27/hour - depending on education and experience
- Cafeteria Plan: In addition to the base compensation, benefits-eligible employees receive an extra $5,640 per year to put toward benefit costs or to be used as additional take-home pay
- Paid Holidays: 21 (including a full week off between Christmas and New Year’s Day and over Spring Break)
- Vacation & Sick Leave: Approximately 17 paid vacation days & 9 paid sick leave days accrued annually

- Assist faculty and staff with using classroom technology, video conferencing (ZOOM/TEAMS), Learning Management Systems, and other software and instructional technology.
- Provide assistance to Help Desk and ITS staff and functions when necessary.
- Assist in the install, configure, and maintain the following:
- Windows-based desktop images and associated software using Microsoft Configuration Manager and other administrative tools.
- Support MAC-based desktops and associated software using Mac OS and iPads.
- All desktop computing hardware
- All desktop peripheral devices including printers, audio equipment, visual, pointing devices, and others.
- Research application errors and malfunctions and resolve them at the desktop level.
- Provide support to users concerning the desktop computing environment using the following methods:
- Remote assistance
- One-on-One training
- Group training
- Telephone & email support
- Utilize the district help desk ticket system for all support issues and ensure those issues are resolved within specified timeframes. Includes appropriate documentation within support tickets.
- Support and maintain classroom and lab technology at campus locations.
- Assist in scheduling, maintenance, and support of the operation of ZOOM, web conferencing, and multimedia AV systems.
- Assist in support for college multimedia audio/visual and distance learning equipment.
- Run and Manage audio/visual equipment during College and external events that are using the College's facilities.
- Assist in creating and maintaining documentation for desktop computing, multi-media, and audio/visual environments.
- Assist in recording and streaming audio and video presentations to designated sites on the internet including video editing.
- Assist staff and functions when necessary.
- Work closely and assist with all of ITS
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of sound systems, such as mixers, speakers and microphones, cameras, computer operations, A/V software applications and computer-related multimedia, hardware, and software applications.
- Knowledge of basic troubleshooting strategies. Knowledge of computer principles, operation, and maintenance.
- Experience with Windows and Macintosh operating systems. Knowledge and skills with Microsoft products.
- Skill in maintaining computers in terms of hardware and general software applications.
- Skills in oral, written, and interpersonal communication.
- Skills in training and end-user support.
- Knowledge and skills in video conference technology and video editing experience.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and be able to meet deadlines.
- Must possess a high level of attentiveness and detail as well as superb organizational skills. Ability to provide great customer service.
- Ability to work outside normal business hours and participate in 24/7 on call rotation.
