The Assistant Director of Admissions & Recruitment provides strategic leadership for the College’s recruitment, outreach, and first-semester enrollment initiatives. Reporting to the Dean of Enrollment & Student Financial Services, this position partners with the Assistant Registrar to ensure a seamless and student-centered experience across the joint Admission & Enrollment Services department. The Assistant Director oversees front-line admissions and recruitment staff, manages program-specific registration for cohort-based programs (e.g., Summer Bridge), and supports student onboarding aligned with institutional initiatives such as 4DX, Guided Pathways, and Achieving the Dream. This is a full-time, 12-month, benefit-eligible position.

Master’s in Education, Business or related field. Direct experience working at a college in related area of assignment. Familiarity using computer technology.

Salary & Benefits:
- Anticipated Hiring Range: $62,824 - $77,902/annual - depending on education and experience
- Cafeteria Plan: In addition to the base compensation, benefits-eligible employees receive an extra $6,720 per year to put toward benefit costs or to be used as additional take-home pay
- Paid Holidays: 21 (including a full week off between Christmas and New Year’s Day and over Spring Break)

Leadership & Supervision
- Supervises, trains, and evaluates staff within the Admissions & Recruitment unit, including Admission Advisors and Admissions Specialists.
- Provides day-to-day leadership to ensure consistent, high-quality service aligned with the College’s mission and values of equity, access, and student success.
- Collaborates closely with the Assistant Registrar to coordinate operational functions, student support services, and data-informed enrollment strategies.
- Provides strategic leadership through an Admission Redesign, developing and implementing a holistic, student-centered approach that unifies recruitment, admission, and the first semester enrollment process through the student onboarding cycle.
- Develops and implements comprehensive recruitment strategies targeting high school students, adult learners, transfer students, and underrepresented populations.
- Coordinates outreach activities including campus tours, high school visits, college fairs, virtual information sessions, and orientation events.
- Builds and maintains relationships with high school counselors, community partners, and tribal education programs to promote CCC pathways and support early engagement.
- Serves as the primary contact for first-semester program-based registration, including initiatives such as Summer Bridge, First Year Experience, and other structured cohort models.
- Collaborates with academic departments and student support programs to ensure timely and accurate registration aligned with student placement and program requirements.
- Facilitates early onboarding efforts and ensures seamless hand-offs to academic advising, financial aid, and support services.
- Oversees the admissions process, application review, and residency classification in collaboration with Enrollment Services staff using tools such as Enrollment Rx (Salesforce) and Banner.
- Ensures compliance with FERPA, institutional policies, and applicable state and federal guidelines.
- Develops and maintains process documentation, workflows, and staff training protocols to support operational efficiency and data integrity.
- Participates in college-wide retention and student success initiatives including Wildly Important Goals, Achieving the Dream, and Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM).
- Engages in collaborative planning with the Assistant Registrar, Financial Aid, Academic Advising, and other departments to streamline the student enrollment journey.
- Supports data collection, analysis, and reporting to assess recruitment effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Promotes a welcoming, inclusive, and student-first environment across all admissions and recruitment touchpoints.
- Provides guidance and support to students navigating complex admissions or registration scenarios.
- Ensures culturally responsive and accessible communication strategies that foster belonging and engagement.
