The Porter at Coco’s is an experienced and highly collaborative individual that supports the daily leadership of the culinary program within a refined private members club environment. This role requires an individual who leads with professionalism, consistency, creativity, and a commitment to excellence in both execution and team development.

The Porer works closely with Back of House Management to deliver an elevated dining experience that reflects the discretion, sophistication, and hospitality standards of the company. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced luxury environments, understands the importance of culture and accountability, and takes pride in building strong, respectful teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant, including dinigng areas, kitchen, restrooms, and storage areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum and sanitize floors, walls, and surfaces on a regular schedule.
• Empty trash and recycling bins; manage waste disposal in line with health and safety guidelines.
• Wash and organize dishes, glassware, cookware, and kitchen equipment as needed.
• Assist with unloading deliveries and stocking supplies in storage and prep areas.
• Set up and break down furniture, equipment, or event spaces as needed.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, paper productsk and other consumables.
• Report maintanence issues, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to management.
• Support kitchen and front of house staff with general labor tasks during service and off hours.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation and health code standards.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks during scheduled closures or slow periods.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in fine dining, luxury hospitality, or private members club environments
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of kitchen systems, staffing, and operational structure
• NYC DOH Food Protection Certificate preferred
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
