About Coco Coders
Coco Coders is an online coding school for children ages 6–14. We inspire kids to learn the language of the future through creatively themed online coding lessons using our STEM.org certified computing curriculum. Students learn core coding principles and how to apply them to real-world settings.
We’re looking for energetic U.S.-based teachers who can encourage students to collaborate, be creative, and help shape the thinkers of tomorrow.
The Role
Coco Coders teachers are positive, energetic individuals from a range of backgrounds and experience levels. What they all have in common is a passion for teaching.
Lessons are 60 minutes
All lesson plans are provided (created by our internal team)
Contractor position
Requirements
You should apply if you:
Are infectiously enthusiastic and ready to inspire children
Have an interest in technology and coding
Are technologically proficient
Are confident working with children ages 6–14
Can break down complicated subjects into easy-to-understand concepts
Are adaptable and able to think on your feet
Currently live in the United States
Are available 5–20 hours per week
Nice To Have (Not Required)
Coding knowledge or a computer science qualification
Special educational needs and disability (SEND) experience
Teaching qualification and/or classroom experience
Knowledge of lesson delivery
Online tutoring/teaching experience
