SUMMARY:
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to be involved in multiple aspects of running a small fashion business. The post is at its core a sales position, but requires an exceptional candidate looking to get a full view of what it is to run a small company.
The right person for this position is creative, personable, empathetic, web-savvy, an articulate written and verbal communicator, and highly motivated.
The position is responsible for assisting in sales and marketing activities, inclusive of in-store, e-commerce, and wholesale. The ideal candidate can work flexibly, coming in each day prepared to juggle roles, elevate company standards, work collaboratively and independently, exceed customer service expectations, and integrate feedback into their work.
While the Coclico Customer Experience Associate position is multifaceted, the underlying prerequisite is that you are fully fluent in the brand’s message. A requirement of this position is the ability to aptly and creatively communicate the lifestyle of the Coclico woman to our current and future customers through excellent interpersonal and written skills.
This is a in-person position on location at our 275 Mott Street location. Weekends are essential.
An example of a typical schedule is:
- Wednesday - 12:30 -6:30
- Wednesday - Friday 1 - 6:30
- Saturday 11 - 6:30
- Sunday 12 - 6
- Monday - Tuesday OFF
*Schedule is subject to change depending on larger scheduling considerations. We emphasize that you will need to be flexible depending on the fluctuating needs of retail and wholesale.
This position works in partnership with and under the supervision of the Retail Manager, Founder, and Managing Director.
Retail Manager oversees: Store, Ecomm, and Customer Service
Founder oversees: Wholesale and Big Picture
Managing Director oversees: Web, Buying, Line Building, Brand, Creative, and Marketing
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Front-of-House Duties
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service, in-store, on the phone, and over email
- Assess customer's needs and provide assistance and information on product features
- Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
- Build productive trusting relationships with customers
- Merchandise the store and check that all current season products are on the shelves and correctly labeled
- Performs general housekeeping and maintenance of the store and storage area
Ecomm Duties
- Careful fulfillment of new orders
- Handle exchanges and returns
- Manage stock - monitoring and/or initiating counts as necessary
- Help support and manage customer service for all platforms
- Assist in website/system maintenance
- Take the lead on maintaining our product assortments and marketing assets with our drop-ship partners and managing the relationships with the goal of growing sales
- Maintain organizational spreadsheets
Wholesale
- Manage relationships and demands of wholesale & specialty store accounts, receiving and promptly responding to customer queries and issues
- Process market orders in ERP system and place cut PO's with the factories accordingly, and review to insure accuracy
- Confirm orders with clients, verify customer credit, and check order information for accuracy
- Organize production delivery with factories including Import/Export aspects
- Communicate on orders, delivery dates, and packing slips with our own retail store and maintain systems of communication
- Prepare invoice and shipping documents
- Inform customers by email or phone of order information, such as unit prices, shipping dates, and any anticipated delays
- Collect deposits and payments for merchandise, record transactions, and deposit payments
- Compile a monthly report with sales figures and customer feedback
- Participate in collection development meetings
- Sales for on-site and trade show Market appointments. Duties are inclusive of set up, take down, and occasional travel
Marketing Assistant Duties
- Assist in writing online product descriptions
- Content creation most specifically, but not exclusively, for the online Journal
- Uploading content to and maintaining the online Journal
- Assist with photoshoots, both planning an onset
Other Potential Duties
As a small business, all members of the Coclico team are expected to chip in where needed and where their skills can be best utilized. While this job has defined duties and responsibilities, the average day will have varied tasks in keeping with a small boutique’s needs and direct-to-customer sales.
Requirements:
- Proven working experience as a sales associate in a luxury boutique environment or similar experience
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Organized and detail-focused
- Knowledge of Shopify a bonus
- Proficiency in Spanish is an asset for wholesale communications, but it is not required
Compensation:
Hourly starting at $27, with 30-hours a week gaurnteed.
