Duties
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of beverages including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to ensure an exceptional customer experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards
- Process cash and card transactions accurately using POS systems such as Toast POS.
- Develop new beverage recipes and suggest drink pairings to enhance guest satisfaction
- Manage bar inventory, restock supplies, and monitor alcohol consumption in accordance with legal regulations
- Handle food service responsibilities when necessary, including serving appetizers or small plates in a fine dining or banquet setting
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of spirits, wine, craft beer, and mixology techniques
- Proficiency with POS systems including Toast POS for processing transactions
- Strong time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently
- Excellent customer service abilities with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Experience in fine dining, nightclub, or banquet environments is highly desirable
- Ability to develop beverage recipes and demonstrate creativity behind the bar
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing
- Previous experience with bar management or hospitality industry roles is preferred
- Familiarity with beverage trends such as brewing or cocktail innovations enhances guest engagement
