Cochon King BBQ is a small, family-owned and operated BBQ restaurant and catering company. We've been in business for 25 years, feeding the masses in New Orleans and across the country. Our restaurant offers an array of award-winning BBQ and Louisiana fare. We have a casual work environment and are looking for someone who will be a good fit on our team, show up to work, and take directions. We are looking to fill the 9am-3pm shift Wednesday-Sunday. Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, flatware, pots, and pans by hand in 3-compartment sink
- Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition
- Stock supplies such as food or utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars
- Sweep and mop kitchen/dish area floors
- Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
- Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment
- Assist with food preparation and cooking as needed
- Help clean food truck as needed between events
Skills:
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food handling procedures
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills
