The Opportunity Cochlear has a 12-month fixed-term opportunity for an Associate Clinical Development Manager based in one of our Cochlear office locations in Sydney or Melbourne. The role is part of the Clinical Affairs team, responsible for identifying the evidence required to support product development, regulatory approvals, reimbursement pathways and commercial success across Cochlear's product portfolio, and translating those requirements into global clinical studies. The successful Associate Clinical Development Manager will contribute to the development of clinical evidence strategies and be responsible for the management of a selection of clinical studies within Cochlear's implantable and surgical portfolio. These studies may be at any stage of the study lifecycle, from concept development and protocol design through to study execution support and final reporting. Working as part of a broader cross-functional project team, the role supports study design, development of documentation required for ethics approval and preparation of Clinical Investigation Reports that summarise study findings. Responsibilities include: Designing clinical studies and developing protocols aligned to clinical evidence strategies. Preparing clinical investigation plans, reports and associated study documentation. Supporting ethics submissions and ensuring study documentation meets quality and regulatory requirements. Collaborating with Clinical Operations teams during study execution, providing scientific input, issue resolution and ongoing study support. Analysing and interpreting study outputs and preparing Clinical Investigation Reports that communicate key findings. Partnering with stakeholders across R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, Clinical Operations and regional clinical teams to align evidence requirements and study objectives. Supporting evidence gap analyses and contributing to clinical portfolio planning. Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across clinical development processes. The position offers broad exposure to product development, regulatory, market access and clinical functions while developing expertise in clinical evidence generation and study design. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: Essential Experience designing clinical studies within a medical device, pharmaceutical, contract research organisation (CRO) or academic research environment. A strong scientific foundation with a minimum of two years' relevant industry or clinical research experience. Experience developing clinical study documentation, protocols and study reports. Degree-level qualifications in a health, science or related discipline. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing capability.
