What are the responsibilities and job description for the P/T Intensive Outpatient Counselor position at Cocaine Alcohol Awareness Program?
CAAP Inc. is seeking to hire a Counselor to counsel and advise individuals with behavioral health and other co-occurring problems such as alcohol, tobacco, drug, or other problems. Counsel individuals, families, or groups and engage in prevention programs.
Description of Duties: Interview clients, review records, and confer with other professionals to evaluate individuals' mental and physical conditions, and to determine their suitability for participation in a specific program. Develop client treatment plans based on research, clinical experience, and client histories. Counsel clients and patients, individually and in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes. Review and evaluate clients' progress in relation to measurable goals described in treatment and care plans. Intervene as advocate for clients or patients to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations. Other duties assigned.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor Degree. Ability to work with diverse populations, Ability to establish and maintain clinically appropriate relationships with other staff and persons served. Knowledge of community based resources including those available through other treatment facilities. Ability to multi-task. Computer proficiency and knowledge of computer software.
Part-Time, Monday - Friday, 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Pay: $22.50 - $25.00 per hour
