Job Description: Forklift Operator 1
The Forklift Operator 1 is responsible for safely moving products using powered industrial equipment. Key responsibilities include:
- Operating powered industrial equipment in accordance with safety policy
- Verifying product and materials incoming and outgoing
- Performing general housekeeping duties
- Conducting daily forklift inspections
- Rotating product and materials correctly
Requirements
- Minimum age 18 years old
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Able to maintain safety and security of Company assets
- One month related experience or training; Forklift experience preferred
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedules as required
Physical Demands
This position requires the ability to:
- Stand for extended periods
- Walk and move freely
- Bend and squat occasionally
- Climb stairs occasionally
- Lift up to 50 lbs and carry up to 50 lbs
- Push and pull objects up to 50 lbs
- Exposed to water, chemicals, weather, and noise
