Job Description
The Cooler Service Reconditioner is responsible for performing mechanical services on vending, fountain and cooler equipment and for preparing equipment to ensure they are in top condition for commercial use in the trade. This role involves disassembling, cleaning, repairing, and reassembling beverage coolers to meet quality standards and customer requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform mechanicals services on equipment as instructed
- Wash equipment in preparation for make-ready process; prepare equipment for use in the trade
- Load, unload and move equipment using industrial powered forklifts
- Receive and put away all new equipment and equipment returns from the trade
- Stage equipment in designated areas for loading onto delivery trucks
- Ensure organization of equipment in the warehouse; Maintain clean and safe work area at all times
- Guarantee inventory control by following proper check-in and check-out process
- Document equipment movement in SAP using handheld
- Assist with daily facility housekeeping and maintenance including but not limited to sweeping, mopping and rubbish removal.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
- Experience operating industrial forklifts required
- Proven experience in refurbishing and repairing coolers or similar refrigeration equipment preferred
- Demonstrated mechanical, technical and electrical aptitude
- Must have the ability to maneuver equipment in order to perform mechanical services
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. on a continual basis
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel and reach
- Ability to ready and interpret documents such as instructions, safety rules and work orders
- Strong organizational skill and high attention to detail
