Branch Manager - Nashville, TN

Summary

The Branch Manager exercises complete responsibility for developing and managing a business operation that maintains Coburn’s Exceptional reputation for customer service and employee satisfaction. This position directs, coordinates, and monitors all sales, operations, and personnel development activities in order to ensure increased profitability and market share.

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent required AND:
• a minimum of 2 years of experience as a branch manager in a related industry, OR
• a minimum of 5 years of progressive internal experience in various positions within the branch.
• Must possess basic computer skills; intermediate skills preferred.
• Must possess product knowledge, leadership and delegation skills and experience.
• Must pass company required drug screen and physical and background screening.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel to Coburn’s customer and company branch locations.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 30 lbs.; must have physical mobility and dexterity to frequently stand, bend, push, twist, kneel, climb, squat, stoop, and reach overhead.  Occasionally works with small tools and equipment.  Considerable mental/visual concentration, coordinating manual dexterity with mental/visual attention.  Warehouse environment.  Must wear closed-toe shoes, gloves, and other protective items as required. A consistent presence at work is required.

Age & Licensing Requirements

Must be a minimum age of 21 years old and maintain a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel to Coburn’s customer and company branch locations.

In order to operate a forklift, the operator must be a minimum age of 18 years old and successfully complete Coburn’s Forklift Operator Certification. The Manager must successfully complete Coburn’s Forklift Evaluator Certification.

Any employee who will make deliveries at a branch will be required to have:

Texas – personal driver’s license with medical card.
Mississippi & Tennessee – Class D license with medical card.

Louisiana – Chauffer’s license (Class D) with medical card.

*This is required to drive any delivery vehicle and staying in state. 

A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required for drivers who operate vehicles that cross the state line (interstate) in a company-owned vehicle, or who operate vehicles with a GVWR of 26,001 pounds or more.  

CDL drivers must be a minimum age of 25 years old.

* If the vehicle weighs over 26,000 lbs a class A CDL is required.
