What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health Information File Tech position at COBRE VALLEY REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER?
Under limited supervision the Medical Record Technician interacts with physicians, physicians office staff, patients, families, and visitors while performing department clerical duties including, but not limited to, sorting filing, and photocopying medical records following established patient consent policies. The Medical Record Technician adheres to the principles, philosophy and mission of Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center in all aspects of job performance.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma
- Previous office experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, Disease Pathology, Anatomy & Physiology recommended.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to use designated reference materials.
